It seems like vishal bharadwaj and his allies has got excellent grip on rural side of country in their story-telling. The story evolves in the northern part of country where two small town thieves (arshad warasi and naseeruddin shah) are trying to escape from his boss mushtaq after stealing a big amount from him. When they didn’t find any shelter ,they move to an old friend’s village. Instead of friend, they found his widow Krishna      ( vidhya balan).

As the things goes on they both slowly gets attracted towards Krishna who uses her seductive feminine art on them. But when mushtaq catches them and gives a month time to return his money, the trio plans to kidnap a business-man from gorakhpur. But story has lot more to offer than this as it progress.

Ishqiya has the same rawness as we saw in omkara previously; the dialogues are excellent with bucolic touch. Music is as good as it tends to be in vishal bharadwaj movies with superb lyrics by gulzar, specially one song dil to bachcha hai ji .

Story required performances of top notch and The trio has performed their part excellently. naseeruddin shah as wanna be young guy is delight to watch .watching arshad warsi one will feel he is capable of playing more than a side kick of lead actors, he is superb. And above all vidhya balan- the perfect example of Cleopatra of village. She excels in each and every movie. The chemistry of all the three lead actors with each other is very good. Salman shahid and adil husain have performed the negative parts very well.

Director Abhishek chaubey has got good sense of story telling. He has tried to keep the tone of the movie light-hearted .

The movie is raw, rough and full of bumpy rides. Watch it .

zombieland

well, this is very much a children movie. the opening of the movie where every thing is shot in extreme slow motion proves to be a great visual treat. people who watch time warp regularly on discovery will love it. now i come to the ending of the movie - Woody Harrelson inside that rectangular cubicle killing all the zombies coming for him in style is shot aesthetically too.

all in all, an average movie for me but i guess family audience will love it more.

have you heard about the morgans?

well, this one a romantic, easy going movie will make you feel good while coming out of the cinema hall. Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant play their roles effectively without doing anything much. that is what was required. the main plot is kind of similar to what we have seen in earlier movies and we as the audience are not much tired of it. the scene where both the lead characters remember their wedding vows is nicely done.

overall a movie that wont make you sulk and you can have some light 90 minutes.

the stepfather

very much an average movie. the character on a killing spree makes you take notice but the movie has its lull spell too. go with less expectation and the movie being short will kind of suffice you.

The story evolves around Carl fredricksen who in childhood had idolized renowned explorer Charles muntz and during his childhood he meets a young girl Ellie who was also Muntz fan and had a desire to go to the paradise falls like muntz . she eventually takes promise from Carl that he would take her to that place. They gets married in coming life and at old age when Ellie dies Carl decides to fulfill his wife’s dream and complete the promise he gave to her.

That was the point in story where adventure starts. He flew with his house with help of helium filled balloons. In this adventurous ride he came to meet Russell -a kid , his idol-muntz, few talking dogs and lots more .

The movie is full of emotions, emotions of a person from childhood to older age, their eagerness to live the dreams even at old age, how two people love each other and even after one dies the other one fulfill his wife’s dream.the bonding of Carl with Russell and Doug-a dog. These movements when comes on screen it brings smile on one’s face.

The movie is full of adventures. How Carl and Russell brings house to that paradise fall in South America, how they meets Charles muntz and on and on.     

The movie is delightful and a visual treat for the audience of all ages. This is the best example of how emotions can be beautifully portrayed even with animation.One of the best animated movie from PIXAR.

This 2009 blockbuster(grossing more than $700 million) animated movie has already won 2 golden globes and is likely to win academy award for best animated movie of 2009( just a guess).
